Eight Free Diagnostics Centres Set Up
Eight diagnostics centres were launched in Hyderabad today to provide affordable health services to the poor.

Telangana Health Minister Etala Rajender today said that eight diagnostics centres had been set up in the city to provide health services to the poor, and added that the facility would soon be expanded to all the districts in a phased manner.
"The centres have been set up to provide free diagnostic services, including ECGs, ultrasound, radiology, X-Rays, urine and blood tests, to the economically disadvantaged people of Hyderabad. These centres have been set up in various locations across the city, including in Amberpet, Lalapet, Sithaphalmandi, Jangampet, Sri Ram Nagar, Barkas, Panipura, and Purana Pul, for the benefit of the poor people," he said.
"They are located in the city's Basti Dawakhanas so that the poor can avail themselves of the best health services free of cost. The initiative reflects the Telangana government's efforts to strength the state's health infrastructure. We had recently also spent Rs 35 crore on developing the Gandhi Hospital," he added.
Ministers K T Rama Rao and Mahmood Ali, and deputy speaker Padma Rao Goud were among the eminent personalities who had participated in the launch of the new diagnostics centres.
Speaking at the launch of the facility in the Sri Ram Nagar Basti Dawakhana, in Banjara Hills, KTR said that the state government would always treat the health of the poor as a matter of priority, and would work to continuously improve affordable healthcare in the state.
He added that with the launch of the eight centres, the poor would easily be able to access 57 types of health services.
