CBI Books Case Against Three Customs Officials
The CBI registered a case against three officials posted at the Shamshabad airport on allegations of conspiracy and corruption.

The Central Bureau of Investigation registered a case on June 28 against three officials, including two Superintendents and one Inspector of Customs, posted at the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA), Hyderabad, on allegations of conspiracy and corruption.
On March 16, 2024, the CISF, RGIA, Hyderabad, intercepted two persons of two private companies exchanging foreign currency of various countries equivalent to Rs 2,93,425 with Indian currencies, from a private person and his son, both residents of Bahadurpura, Hyderabad, who were carrying Indian currency of various denominations worth Rs 4,04,380.
It was alleged that the said foreign currencies were given to private person by the accused officials of the customs department posted at RGIA, Hyderabad, who had obtained them from international passengers as undue advantage in lieu of not imposing customs duty or imposing a lower than warranted customs duty on them.
It was also alleged that these public servants were doing this on a regular basis.
The CBI conducted searches at four places, including three in Hyderabad and one in Delhi, which led to the recovery of incriminating documents.
