Further investigation on the
bomb blasts at Dilsukhnagar yesterday has reportedly revealed that wires of CCTV cameras had been cut four days prior to the occurrence of the explosions. The police, who confirmed earlier today that the blasts were indeed a result of terrorist activity, have discovered traces of RDX, nuts and bolts, petrol and urea at the site of the explosions.
Meanwhile, an eyewitness named Anand has filed cases on three suspects, who he claims were the ones to render the CCTV cameras in the area unusable.
The twin blasts, which have taken 16 lives so far, and have caused 119 people to be injured, are suspected to have been the handiwork of the Indian Mujahideen.
It may be mentioned that 6 years ago, during the bomb blasts at Gokul Chaat Bhandar and Lumbini park that shook the city, bombs were found and neutralised at approximately the same locations in Dilsukhnagar as well.
