31 Women, 4 Transgenders Arrested For Prostitution
Earlier this month, a similar operation was conducted and 22 were arrested.

A joint operation was conducted last night to prevent street prostitution at the Bhagyanagar bus stop and under the KPHB Metro Station in Kukatpally.
The operation involved teams from the Anti-Human Trafficking Unit (AHTU), SHE Teams, and the Law & Order divisions of the Kukatpally and KPHB police stations, under the supervision of DCP K Suresh Kumar, IPS, of the Balanagar zone.
On the directive of Assistant Commissioner of Police K Srinivas Rao, four special teams were formed for the operation, comprising the ACP, three Inspectors, seven Sub-Inspectors, two Assistant Sub-Inspectors and 36 police constables.
During the operation, 31 women and four transgender individuals involved in street prostitution were apprehended. Four cases were registered at the Kukatpally police station, and one at the KPHB police station, under the Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act, 1956.
Earlier this month, a similar operation was conducted by the same special teams, resulting in the apprehension of 22 individuals. Four cases were registered at the Kukatpally police station and two at the KPHB police station. The accused were bound over by the Mandal Revenue Officer (MRO) of Kukatpally for good behaviour and subsequently released with notices issued under Section 35 of the BNSS Act.
