Hoax Bomb Call Creates Panic

A hoax bomb call made to Kakinada police created panic among general public.

An anonymous call made to the Kakinada police about a bomb planted in a suitcase in the city bus stand on Wednesday triggered panic among passengers.

The call was later ascertained to be a hoax.

The Kakinada police control room reportedly received the call in the afternoon. The police evacuated and cordoned off for 2 hours.

However, the bomb disposal squad and the sniffer dogs found nothing in the suitcase apart from old clothes.

The police are trying to trace the hoax caller's number.
