Popular Tollywood folk singer Mangli was allegedly being targeted by certain YouTube channels spreading derogatory and misleading content, her personal manager Megh Raju claimed today.
Addressing a press conference at the Basheerbagh Press Club, Raju said that a formal complaint had been lodged with the Hyderabad Cyber Crime Police against individuals identified as Madhu Naik, Subbu, Thirumalesh and Himakanth Reddy for allegedly circulating defamatory videos and engaging in false propaganda.
The complaint comes amid ongoing online allegations and controversy surrounding the singer, including claims related to financial dealings, which have surfaced on social media platforms in recent weeks.
Raju accused the individuals of running a deliberate smear campaign aimed at damaging Mangli's reputation and dragging her family into the controversy, causing mental distress. He said that Mangli had not endorsed any organisation or individual in connection with the allegations, and had, in fact, supported victims in related matters.
The singer's personal manager expressed confidence that the cyber crime investigation would uncover the facts and bring those responsible to justice.
