Heavy Rain Lashes City, Motorists Stranded

Due to the low pressure effect, Hyderabad experienced heavy rain even on Friday.

Heavy rain accompanied by gales lashed Dilsukhnagar, Kothapet, Saroornagar, Secunderabad, Chilkalguda, Padmaraonagar, Parsigutta, Tukaramgate, Addagutta, Patny Center, Paradise, Jubilee Hills, Masab Tank, Mehdipatnam, Ameerpet, S R Nagar, Borabanda, Erragadda, Kukatpally, Shaikpet and other places.

Water flooded the roads due to overflowing of nalas, and traffic came to a halt at several places. The citizens faced significant hardships especially in the water-logged Ameerpet-Mythrivanam main road. A huge tree was also uprooted at the L-Block in the A P State Secretariat, causing inconvenience. Several low-lying places were under knee-deep water.
