Heated Debate Between MLA And Officials Over Protocol Issue
Congress MLA Jare Adinarayana, who represents the Aswaraopet constituency in Telangana, was irate after officials launched initiatives without notifying him.
Congress MLA Jare Adinarayana, who represents the Aswaraopet Assembly constituency in Bhadradri Kothagudem district, on Tuesday experienced embarrassment when officials launched development initiatives in his constituency without notifying him.
The ruling party MLA expressed his frustration to the officials and chose to boycott the event, asserting that they had disrespected a tribal legislator.
Officials had invited Minister for Agriculture Tummala Nageswara Rao to lay the foundation stone for several development projects in the Dammapet mandal within the Aswaraopet Assembly constituency, neglecting to inform Adinarayana.
Upon getting to know of that, the visibly upset MLA arrived at the site and voiced his displeasure to the officials in front of Rao, asking how they could overlook informing him about government activities in his own constituency.
Adinarayana, reportedly an associate of Revenue Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy, expressed his respect for Rao, but said that he felt disrespected by the officials' derogatory conduct.
The MLA declined to participate in the event, despite Rao urging him to break a coconut for the foundation laying ceremony. He said that he wanted no involvement in the ceremony due to the disregard shown by the officials.
Nageswara too asked the officials why they had not informed Adinarayana about the event in advance. After considerable coaxing from the minister, the MLA eventually agreed to attend the foundation laying ceremony, resolving the situation.
