The Commissioner of School Education, Andhra Pradesh, on Sunday said that it was decided that the half-days for schools would be extended for one more week, from June 17 to 22, due to the scorching heat wave conditions prevailing in the State.
In a circular, the Commissioner directed all Regional Joint Directors of School Education and District Education Officers in the State to ensure that schools functioned only from from 8 am to 12:30 pm during this week, too.
He also stated that all schools should revert to functioning for the entire day from June 24.
