Telangana Rashtra Samithi Floor Leader Eetela Rajender on Saturday saw a conspiracy behind the statement of Director General of police K Aravinda Rao that any violence in the aftermath of the tabling of the Justice B N Srikrishna Commission Report would be met with an iron hand.
Speaking to media persons at the Assembly premises, Eetela said that the DGP was trying to instil a sense of fear in the hearts of Telangana protagonists by making such statements.
He added that he feared that the state and central governments would try to curb the just demands of Telangana statehood by using force.
Eetela Rajender warned the government that the Telangana sentiment would not be crushed under the use of force. He said that the people of Telangana will counter all and any repressive measures with protests.
He added that the people of Telangana will bear any possible repressive measures by the government with firm determination and ensure that that a separate state is formed.
The state government had earlier asked for around 120 companies of central paramilitary forces for the state , anticipating a backlash in the Telangana region after the submission of the Srikrishna Report.
