Governor Exudes Confidence On Central Aid To Telangana
Dr Tamilisai Soundararajan exuded confidence that the Centre would extend assistance to Telangana soon following the damage caused by the recent heavy floods.
Governor Dr Tamilisai Soundararajan has exuded confidence that the union government would extend financial assistance to Telangana soon following the damage caused to the State by the recent heavy floods.
Speaking to the media in New Delhi on Monday after attending the swearing-in ceremony of President Draupadi Murmu, the Governor said that she had submitted a report to the union home minister on the extent of the damage caused by the floods, and that the Central teams had also assessed the situation by visiting the flood-affected areas in the State.
"The union government is quite concerned about the people of Telangana. The affected people will definitely receive aid. The Centre has clearly said that it will help the State. Even union minister Kishan Reddy has forwarded a message saying that the Centre is going to extend its aid to the State," Soundararajan said.
"I don't want to bring in politics over the issue of floods. But the Centre will definitely help the State," she said.
