Government Accountable For Any Accidents By Private Buses: C
Congress MP Komatireddy Venkat Reddy demanded that the Telangana government solve the problems of the TSRTC employees and stop a strike from happening.
Congress leader and MP Komatireddy Venkat Reddy on Friday demanded that the State government solve the problems being faced by TSRTC employees.
He said that the duty to ensure that the employees didn't go on strike lay on the shoulders of the government.
Citing that AP with a deficit budget had still merged the state's RTC into itself, he asked the Telangana government why it was not doing the same for the welfare of the employees of the corporation.
He also asked who would be held responsible if fatal road accidents took place with private drivers manning all the buses during the strike period, and said that the State government should be held accountable for any such tragedies.
Meanwhile, the MP welcomed the decision of the Election Commission to transfer Suryapet district SP Venkateswarlu. He urged the EC to keep an eye on the distribution of money and liquor in the Huzurnagar Assembly constituency. He alleged that around 700 leaders of the ruling TRS including State cabinet ministers were threatening the officials and resorting to electoral irregularities, and urged the EC to take action on such incidents, too.
