Senior Congress leader of the Kukatpally region, Gottimukkala Vengala Rao, today announced his resignation from the party.

He said that he was upset because he did not get a ticket for the upcoming Assembly elections for the Kukatpally constituency seat.

The Congress released its second list of 45 candidates on Friday. In that, the party allotted the ticket for the Kukatpally constituency seat to Bandi Ramesh of Serilingampally. With that, Gottimukkala, who was hoping for that ticket, bade goodbye to the party with tears in his eyes.
