GHMC officials tried to demolish the Kabara Drive-In Restaurant owned by erstwhile actor Nandamuri Tarakaratna in Jubilee Hills Road No 12 citing violation of norms.
They said that they had decided on the action after receiving complaints from the society members about late night liquor supply and high decibels levels.
Upon coming to know about it, Tarakaratna rushed to the spot, and a heated argument took place between the restaurant management and the GHMC officials. Tension prevailed in the premises as the management tried to stop the demolition.
When the officials talked about the complaints from the society members, Tarakaratna asked the officials to give him some time. Following this, the officials temporarily halted the demolition.
Observers are wondering if this is political vendetta or just a regular GHMC activity. It may be recalled that Tarakaratna is a TDP party member and had even campaigned for Nandamuri Suhasini during the 2018 Telangana Assembly elections.
