Telugu Desam Party president and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu will campaign for two days in the city, on January 28 and 29, for the upcoming GHMC polls.
The TDP and the BJP are in an agreement to share seats in the ratio of 87:63, and have fielded candidates accordingly. Naidu will canvas for votes for the alliance in some of the segments densely populated by people from the Seemandhra region.
Naidu's son and TDP general secretary Lokesh Naidu is already campaigning in some of these areas.
According to information, Naidu will campaign in Qutbullahpur, Serilingampally, Kukatpally, Jubilee Hills and other areas in that belt on the 28th. He will campaign in Sanathnagar, Secunderabad, Uppal, L B Nagar, Saroornagar and Malakpet on the 29th.
Naidu is appealing to the people to vote for his proven capability for developing the city, as demonstrated by his rule in united Andhra Pradesh.
The elections are set to be held on February 2nd, and the results will be announced on the 5th.
The TDP boss has opted to stay silent on his Telangana counterpart K Chandrashekar Rao, and has abstained from criticizing him recently. This is likely to continue in the GHMC election campaigning.
