Ganesh Immersion Arrangements Fully In Place: GHMC
The GHMC Commissioner today said that all the necessary arrangements for the safe conduct of the Ganesh immersion procession in Hyderabad were in place.

GHMC Commissioner B Janardhan Reddy today said that all the necessary arrangements for the safe and smooth conduct of the Ganesh immersion procession in Hyderabad, Secunderabad and the Ranga Reddy district were in place.
Speaking to the media in an interview, Reddy said that the GHMC civic officials were already working in coordination with other departments including disaster management and the Hyderabad Police to secure devotees and commuters alike during the holy procession.
"27 cranes and 531 GHMC staff members have been deployed at Tank Bund. Emergency teams have also been put in place for the occasion for a stretch of 4 km. Around 200 volunteers will work in shifts throughout the day from 6 am to 6 am the next morning to help with the immersion. The police department has deployed around 25,000 personnel to guard the festivities, and CCTV cameras have been installed at several points along Tank Bund to keep an eye on the happenings," he said.
Rs. 7 crores had been allocated by the Telangana government for the culmination of the festival, Reddy said.
The procession will start at 6 am and is likely to end the next morning.
