Accompanied by the state in-charge of the party Tarun Chug, State BJP president Bandi Sanjay Kumar today performed special prayers at the famous Khairatabad Ganesh idol.
He also presented a 20 kg laddu to the deity on the occasion.
Speaking at the venue, he said that he was very happy to visit the most famous Ganesh idol of the capital. He congratulated the organisers of the pandal for successfully managing such a high-visibility and prestigious exercise for so many years.
Sanjay said that the Ganesh Navaratri celebrations united all Hindus against the British rulers during the freedom struggle, and added that the celebrations would help a lot in uniting the Hindu society and preventing any division among them even today. He warned that any division in the Hindu society would lead to dangerous consequences for the country, and said that there was a need especially now for all the Hindus to unite, considering the conditions prevailing in Telangana.
He added that every Hindu should react if there was any threat to their faith.
Former MLA of the Khairatabad Assembly constituency Chintala Ramachandra Reddy, party general secretaries G Premender Reddy, Dugyala Pradeep Kumar and Bangaru Shruti, and the party Hyderabad central president Gautam Rao also accompanied Sanjay on the occasion. The members of the Bhagyanagar Ganesh Utsav Samithi felicitated Sanjay and Chug.
