The junior doctors of Gandhi Hospital today called off their strike although conditionally.
They said that they had taken the decision taking the public health into consideration especially in view of the Covid-19 pandemic.
They also said that the assurance of the state health minister that he would solve all their problems had also prompted them to call off their strike for now.
They announced that they were resuming their duties with immediate effect.
The association of the junior doctors of Gandhi Hospital said that the health minister had promised that he would solve their demands like resumption of non-Covid 19 treatment services at the hospital as Gandhi was a renown super-specialty hospital of the state.
It also said that the minister had promised to deploy the SPF at all the government medical colleges and hospitals as soon as possible.
It further said that the minister had promised to give them an opportunity to select the quality of the PPEs before procuring them from different companies of the state.
The health minister had also promised to take up recruitment for the vacant posts of doctors, nurses, patient care providers and sanitation workers at the hospital, the association claimed.
