IT and Industries Minister D Sridhar Babu today promised full support for the organization of the Jamaat-e-Islami Hind's national convention, scheduled to take place from November 15 to 17 in Hyderabad.
Babu, alongside Telangana government advisor Mohammed Ali Shabbir, held a review meeting at the Secretariat to discuss logistical and security preparations for the event, which is expected to attract 12,000 to 15,000 delegates from across India.
The minister affirmed that the government was ready to provide all the necessary facilities for the event, including security, transportation, sanitation, infrastructure and other essential services.
Emphasizing the government's commitment to fostering social harmony and unity, Babu expressed confidence in the coordinated efforts of various departments to ensure a safe and inclusive environment for attendees.
Shabbir Ali echoed these sentiments, and said that such gatherings reinforced the State's reputation as a centre of religious and social inclusivity. He said that the 2024 convention, a triennial event, continued a legacy of successful gatherings organized by Jamaat-e-Islami Hind, which had been active in India since 1948, and focused on social, educational and welfare initiatives.
Sridhar Babu urged all officials to ensure a seamless experience for the delegates.
