BJP Slams Early Leave Order For Ramzan In Telangana

BJP Chief Spokesperson N V Subhash accused the Congress of minority appeasement
and called for equal concessions for all religious communities.
Hyderabad | 18th February 2026
The BJP has criticised the Telangana government's order allowing Muslim employees to leave work an hour early during Ramzan, alleging minority appeasement and calling for equal concessions for all religious communities.

In a press statement, BJP Chief Spokesperson N V Subhash today said that while facilitating religious observances was acceptable, similar accommodations should be extended to Hindu employees during occasions including Ayyappa Deeksha and others.

He argued that selective concessions could create perceptions of discrimination, and urged the Congress-led State government to adopt a uniform policy framework ensuring equal treatment for all communities. He asked Chief Minister Revanth Reddy whether consistent guidelines for religious accommodations would be implemented across the State.
