Freedom fighters hailing from Telangana urged Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao to revive Dharna Chowk at Indira Park and earn the goodwill of the people.
Freedom fighters hailing from Telangana today urged Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao to revive Dharna Chowk at Indira Park and earn the goodwill of all sections of the people.
The freedom fighters staged a deeksha at Maqdoom Bhavan on Sunday on the 30th day of the Dharna Chowk Parirakshana Committee deekshas. They said that the Chief Minister would know the pulse of the people if he allowed the latter to stage dharnas at Indira Park on issues that concerned them by reviving Dharna Chowk there.
They said that KCR should remember that Telangana was achieved not just with his efforts but with the efforts of all sections of the people.
After launching the 30th day of the protest, freedom fighter Jaini Mallaiah Gupta said that he never thought that this sort of day would come. The Telangana people seemed to have to wage a fight for everything, he said. It was not fair for KCR to suppress the freedom of expression in the state or to see the people and the opposition parties as his enemies, he sais.
Freedom fighters Burgula Narsing Rao, Dodda Narayana Rao, Anantharaya Sharma, Y Krishna Murthy, Thulasamma, Palle Janga Reddy and K Prathap Reddy, and civil rights leader Haragopal condemned the "dictatorial attitude" of the Chief Minister. Telangana Netizens leader K Karunakar Reddy, Dharna Chowk Parirakshana Committee Co-Convener P L Vishweshwar Rao, and its members D G Narasimha Rao, Mallepally Adhi Reddy, Sanjaya, Hanmesh, Ravichandra and others participated in the program.
