Telugu Desam Party president N Chandrababu Naidu alleged that it was due to the non-serious attitude of former Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy that Hyderabad lost the Formula One project.
Talking to reporters at his residence in Hyderabad on the occasion of Deepavali on Wednesday, Naidu said that YSR was not as interested in the F-1 project as other cities were.

The TDP president reiterated that he was ready for an open debate on development in the Telangana region. He said that it was during the TDP's tenure that the region was developed.
He said that no party had responded to his open challenge for the debate on this issue, and that he could prove with substantial evidence that the TDP had brought about immense development in the Telangana region.
Naidu alleged that corruption has become rampant in the state now, and that it has spread even to villages.
He said that Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy has lost control over the state's administration, which has led to further corruption at all levels.
He announced that the TDP would soon launch a state-wide campaign against corruption.
The TDP chief lamented that due to weak administration, welfare and developmental activities have come to a halt across the state.
Naidu also greeted the people on the occasion of Deepavali. He said that inflation has curbed people's enthusiasm to celebrate the festival, and expressed hope that the rising prices would be contained by next year. (INN)
