IAS officer Arvind Kumar and former HMDA chief engineer B L N Reddy today sought more time to appear before the Enforcement Directorate (ED) for questioning in the Formula E racing case.
The ED had issued notices to Kumar (A2) and Reddy (A3) to appear for interrogation on January 8 and 9, respectively. K T Rama Rao is the prime accused (A1) in the case.
The ED officials registered cases against them in connection with the Formula E racing "irregularities" based on the Telangana ACB's FIR, and initiated a probe into the case.
As part of the probe, the ED officials also wrote to a bank at Himayatnagar seeking details of Rs 54-crore payment made by the former HMDA chief engineer to the UK-based Formula-E Operations Limited (FEO).
The ED officials are also likely to write to FEO seeking details of its agreements with the previous BRS-led Telangana government.
