Blame Former CMs For Power Crisis: Jagga Reddy
"N Kiran Kumar Reddy assumed charge as the Chief Minister about two years ago, while the power crisis has been in existence for over two decades," said Government Whip T Jayaprakash Reddy.
Government Whip T Jayaprakash Reddy, alias Jagga Reddy, blames former Chief Ministers for the ongoing energy crisis in the state.
Talking to reporters in the Assembly premises, Jagga Reddy said that the present crisis was the result of a lack of foresight on part of former Chief Ministers. He said that N Kiran Kumar Reddy had assumed charge as the Chief Minister about two years ago, while the power crisis has been in existence for over two decades, and that it was wrong to blame Kiran Kumar Reddy for the mistakes committed by his predecessors.
Jagga Reddy also condemned the criticism of the Chief Minister by the opposition parties for the power crisis. He said that the opposition parties were not ready to listen to clarifications given by Kiran Kumar Reddy in the Legislative Assembly. However, he said, by criticising the state government, the opposition parties were trying to gain political mileage.
The Sangareddy MLA also denied reports that several Congress MPs and MLAs were planning to join the TRS. He said that the Congress Party would return to power post the 2014 elections, and would have more number of seats compared to the 2009 elections. (INN)
