One of the earliest Telangana statehood activists and leader of the Sampurna Telangana Praja Samithi (STPS) Dr M Sridhar Reddy breathed his last while undergoing treatment at Care Hospital at Banjara Hills.
The last rites of Reddy will be performed at Mahaprasthanam in Film Nagar on Tuesday afternoon.

Sridhar Reddy launched his agitation from the A hostel of Osmania University.
Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao expressed condolences on the demise of Reddy. The CM recalled Reddy's contribution to the Telangana movement in both the first and the final stages, and said that Reddy had played an active and vital role in the original movement of 1969 and had worked uncompromisingly for the values he believed in. The CM expressed his deepest condolences to the members of the bereaved family.
TPCC president A Revanth Reddy, a contemporary of Sridhar Reddy; TPCC vice-president Sukumar Rao; TPCC working president Mahesh Kumar Goud; and TPCC State Secretary Manavata Rai too all expressed their condolences at the death of Sridhar Reddy.
