Experts' Committee For Fee Reimbursement

The CM constitutes a Committee of Experts to make recommendations on the options available with the government for providing affordable education with high standards.
Hyderabad | 3rd August 2012
Chief minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy has constituted a "Committee of Experts" to make recommendations on the various options available with the government for "providing affordable education with high standards", with Prof. P Jayaprakash Rao as its chairman.

It may be recalled that the Supreme Court of India dismissed the IA in SLP No. 34050 to 34080 of 2011 filed by the AFRC, Andhra Pradesh, seeking certain clarifications on the fixation of differential/common fees, for the year 2012-13, in respect of unaided professional colleges in Andhra Pradesh.

Consequent to the dismissal of the IA, it has become necessary to constitute a 'Committee of Experts" to analyse the implications arising from the dismissal of the IA on the present scheme of reimbursement of tuition fees, and to make recommendations on various options available with the government for providing affordable education with high standards.

Besides Prof Jayaprayakash Rao, the committee consits of K C Reddy, J Raymond Peter, M G Gopal, D Sambasiva Rao, Prof. V Ramakistaiah, Prof. Uday B Desai and Prof. Tulasi Ram Das. The Committee of Experts will submit its report for the consideration of the group of ministers on fee reimbursement. (INN)

Fee Reimbursement Scheme must be continued. This scheme is only for those students whose parents can't afford large amounts for their children's higher studies. Moreover all students are not eligible there is some eligibility criteria for RTF. So, I request the Government to continue the Reimbursement of tuition Fee scheme.
