Farmers Stop TRS Leaders In Hasanparthy
Farmers of Devennapeta village of Hasanparthy mandal of Hanumakonda district today stopped some TRS leaders scouting locations for KCR's public meeting.
Farmers of Devennapeta village of Hasanparthy mandal of Hanumakonda district today stopped some TRS leaders who visited the village to inspect locations for Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao's upcoming public meeting.
Senior TRS leader Kadiyam Srihari, and party MLAs Aroori Ramesh and Vinay Bhaskar, were among those who visited the village.
The leaders were accompanied by the local government officials, too.
The farmers however staged a protest demanding that the TRS leaders not hold public meetings in farm lands.
They alleged that the ruling party leaders were false claiming that they (the farmers) had agreed to allow them to hold the public meeting.
The farmers also said that the TRS would not care for them any more again after the organization of the meeting, and that the whole affair was opportunistic and would be a bunch of platitudes.
They warned the TRS leaders that they would commit suicides if the party held its public meeting in their village.
Supporters of TRS corporator Raju Naik then attacked the farmers blocking the leaders, leading to some violence in the area.
For the uninitiated, CM K Chandrashekar Rao has decided to hold a massive public meeting in Warangal to celebrate the 20th birth anniversary of the party on the 29th of this month.
