The Chennai Family Court on Tuesday directed choreographer-director Prabhu Deva and actress Nayanthara to appear before it in connection with the case filed by Ramalath, Prabhu's wife.
The court issued these directions as the duo failed to present themselves before it, and adjourned the case for further hearing till January 21st, 2011.
Ramalath had earlier filed a petition seeking restitution of her conjugal rights and orders prohibiting Nayanthara and Prabhu from entering into wedlock. This case was posted for hearing on Tuesday.
Earlier, the duo failed to appear in court in the first instance and was issued a second summon through the Nadigar Sangam.
The media expected that both of them would appear before the Court on Tuesday.
The magistrate has adjourned the case to January 21st, 2011, and ordered the issuing of the fresh summons to Prabhu and Nayanthara immediately.
