TRS floor leader Etela Rajender accused Seemandhra MLAs of setting a wrong precedent by stalling the proceedings of the state Legislative Assembly to avoid a debate on the Telangana Bill.
Speaking to media persons on Wednesday, Etela said that Seemandhra MLAs should allow discussions and express their views and concerns over the state's bifurcation on the floor of the House. "However, instead of a debate, the MLAs are holding the entire House to ransom," he said.
He said that all the parties had earlier assured their cooperation in the discussion on the Telangana Bill during the meeting of the Business Advisory Committee (BAC), but that now, Seemandhra MLAs were not allowing the House to function.
Etela said that Seemandhra MLAs should think about the people of their region instead of following the directions of Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy or TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu, and added that they are setting a wrong precedent in the history of the Legislative Assembly. (INN)
