CPI (M) leader Julakanti Ranga Reddy on Wednesday condemned the tearing of copies of the draft Andhra Pradesh State Reorganisation Bill in the Legislative Assembly.
Speaking to media persons, Ranga Reddy said that tearing of the copies of the Bill is against democratic norms, and an insult to the President of India himself, who had sent the Bill to seek the Assembly's views.
He said that everyone is free to express his/her opinion, but that this must be done in a democratic manner. He advised the Seemandhra MLAs to follow norms.
Ranga Reddy also said that it is the duty of Speaker Nadendla Manohar, Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy and ministers to implement the decision taken during the Business Advisory Committee meeting to hold a discussion on the Telangana Bill. (INN)
