Telugu Desam Telangana Forum convenor Errabelli Dayakar Rao and senior educationist and MLC Chukka Ramaiah faced some embarrassing moments when they went to Indira Park on Wednesday to express solidarity to the 'deeksha' of Telangana Teachers' JAC, when they were heckled.
The protesting teachers showed them slippers and raised 'Go Back' slogans against Errabelli.
The teachers demanded that his party make clear its stand on the separate Telangana statehood demand.
The protestors also obstructed Chukka Ramaiah's speech and asked the United Teachers Federation to make its stand on Telangana clear as well.
However, Chukka Ramaiah said that he was not affiliated to any group or party, and that he had only come to express solidarity to the Teachers' dharna.
Earlier, speaking at the Deeksha, Telangana Political JAC convenor M Kodandaram accused Seemandhra leaders of having hatched a conspiracy to destroy Telangana leaders' unity, and cautioned the leaders of the region to be careful and to not get caught in the 'trap'.
"Remain united for the cause of Telangana statehood and work towards fulfilling the people's aspirations," the TPJAC chief said.
Kodandaram further called upon the people of the region to stop all services to those who oppose the formation of a Telangana state.
He stated that teachers would play a major role in the agitation.
Kodandaram further called upon people to take part in the employees' strike set to begin soon in Telangana.
He also called upon people to stage agitations on the road from August 17 to paralyse the administration in the state.
Telangana Rashtra Samithi MLA T Harish Rao exhorted the people of Telangana to tear away the 'Maa Telugu Talliki' pages from textbooks, as a form of protest.
Suspecting the commitment of Telangana Congress leaders towards Telangana, the TRS MLA said that a separate state can be achieved only by resubmitting the resignations.
"Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy and Speaker Nadendla Manohar have hatched a conspiracy to reject the resignations," he alleged.
"The morale of Telangana employees, who will launch their mass strike on August 17, would get a boost if these leaders resign from their posts," he added.
He also demanded that the state government conduct the SI recruitments tests only after the deletion of Clause 14 F from the Presidential Orders. (INN)
