YSR Congress Party MLA B Karunakar Reddy on Wednesday demanded that the State Reorganisation Bill be put to voting.
Speaking to media persons, Karunakar Reddy said that the Speaker, under Rule 359, 360 and 361, has powers to conduct voting for every clause of the Telangana Bill. Requesting Speaker Nadendla Manohar to exercise his powers, he said that the YSRCP would not allow a debate unless voting is made mandatory for the Telangana Bill.
Karunakar Reddy alleged that the TDP and TRS have entered into a secret deal with the Congress to divide the state, and that hence, YSRCP's demand for a resolution on a united Andhra Pradesh was ignored by the government. (INN)
