Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has deputed his Additional Secretary Smita Sabharwal to go to the Karimnagar district a day in advance to personally monitor the preparations for his visit.
The Chief Minister is visiting the district on Sunday, and will participate in developmental programmes including those of the public health, municipal administration, and roads & buildings departments.
The CM said that he had special affinity for and relationship with the Karimnagar district, and however much he did for the district, it would be still be less.
He recalled the first meeting connected to the Telangana movement that he held in the district way back, and said that it was that incident that took the movement to greater heights and ultimately achieved Telangana.
KCR is visiting the district for the first time after assuming charge as Chief Minister. (INN)
