Chairman of the Telangana State Council for Higher Education Professor Tummala Papi Reddy on Tuesday made it clear that the decision on EAMCET counselling would be taken only after the final judgment of the Supreme Court on the issue.

Accusing Andhra Pradesh ministers and officials of making misleading statements to create panic among Telangana students, he said that the interests of Telangana students would be protected.
He said that the TSCHE would take a decision on EAMCET counselling based on the final verdict of Supreme Court in the case.
The Supreme Court had on Monday asked the Telangana and Andhra Pradesh governments to complete the EAMCET counselling by August 31. The next hearing in the case is scheduled for August 11.
