The counselling process for admission into various engineering courses, that began across the state on Monday, was badly hit in all the districts of coastal Andhra and Rayalaseema regions, due to the Samaikyandhra agitation.
Officials were forced to stop counselling in several parts of the Seemandhra region, as teachers of polytechnic courses boycotted their duties in protest against the proposed division of state.
Although the process of certificate verification taken up in 56 centres across the state was on, the selection procedure was delayed due to the protests and the boycott.
Meanwhile, officials submitted a detailed report on the counselling in the Seemandhra region to Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy, on Monday. (INN)
