The Telangana TDP today demanded that the Governor dismiss TRS ministers Kadiam Srihari and C Laxma Reddy for their alleged incompetence in conducting EAMCET-2, whose question paper got leaked and resulted in the exam getting cancelled.
A delegation of TDP Telangana leaders led by State president L Ramana called on Governor E S L Narasimhan at Raj Bhavan and complained about the negligence of the two ministers which led to chaos among students after leakage of the entrance exam's question paper.
They also claimed that the TRS government had failed to take the Opposition into confidence in planning programs, and was adopting "anti-people" policies.
The TDP leaders urged the Governor to direct the TRS government to implement the Land Acquisition Act of 2013 in reimbusing farmers whose lands were being acquired for the Mallanna Sagar reservoir. The act was passed by Parliament to best protect the interests of the people from whom land needed to be acquired, and the displaced persons of the Mallanna Sagar project would be served justice only if compensated under the act, they said.
Speaking to the media later, Ramana said that the TRS government was regularly being reprimanded by the courts on various issues. And after the quashing of GO 123 by the High Court, it was unfortunate that the government chose to appeal against the judgement, the TDP leader said.
The Party's official spokesperson Arvind Kumar Goud, former minister E Peddi Reddy, MLA Sandra Venkat Veeraiah, general secretary Amarnath and Onteru Pratap Reddy were in the delegation.
Meanwhile, the High Court adjourned the hearing on the appeal filed by the government against the judgement given quashing GO 123 by a single-judge bench, for Monday.
