HC Stays Tribunal's Order On DSC 2012

The High Court allows the government to go ahead with the DSC examination scheduled on August 26-28, but results will be subject to final orders issued by the court.
Hyderabad | 24th August 2012
The Andhra Pradesh High Court, on Friday, stayed the AP Administrative Tribunal's order allowing candidates with D. Ed. qualification to write the exam for the posts of school assistants in DSC-2012.

Disposing of a petition filed by the state government challenging the AP Administrative Tribunal's orders, the bench, headed by Justice Eswaraiah and Justice Ravi Shankar, gave the government a green signal to go ahead with the DSC examination scheduled on August 26-28.

However, the bench, while directing the government to go ahead with the DSC, observed that results would be subject to final orders issued by the court, and adjourned the case for the next hearing after two weeks.

Earlier, the government's counsel observed that the DSC examination was postponed twice already, and argued that students would find it difficult if it is deferred once again. The court conceded with the counsel's arguments, and stayed the AP Administrative Tribunal's orders. (INN)
