Renowned director V Madhusudhan Rao passes away after a prolonged illness.

Veteran film director V Madhusudhan Rao passed away after suffering from a prolonged illness. He is survived by his wife Saroja and 2 sons.

Madhusudhana Rao is known for his hit films, from Rakta Sambandham to Bhakta Tukaram. Some of his popular films include Manushulu Marali, Verabhimanyu, Gudi Gantalu, Raktha Sambandham, Atma Balam and Bhakta Tukaram.

He also worked with several well-known actors in the industry, and is known for having directed mythological and period films, apart from family movies.

Madhusudana Rao is a receipient of the Raghupathi Venkaiah Award.

In addition, he founded the Madhu Film Institute, which has been the breed many successful actors and directors. (INN)
