Indian Mujahideen chief Yasin Bhatkal, who was arrested near the Nepal border on Wednesday night, will be interrogated by the Hyderabad city police, in connection with the twin blasts in Dilsukhnagar on February 21.
City Police Commissioner Anurag Sharma said that a special team might be brought to the city to probe the role of those involved in the Dilsukhnagar twin blasts that claimed 18 lives and injured several others.
Another suspected terrorist Asadullah Akhtar, who was arrested along with Yasin, will also be questioned.
"They will be examined, and if their involvement is confirmed, they will be brought to Hyderabad for further investigations," he said.
The Commissioner claimed that the profiles of the two suspects seen in the CCTV footage before the blasts match those of Yasin and Asadullah.
Currently, the Dilsukhnagar blast case is being investigated by the National Investigation Agency (NIA), which had announced a reward of Rs. 10 lakh for any information leading to the arrest of the accused. (INN)
