Decision To Delete 14(F) Clause

An all-party meet following protests by Osmania students decided on deletion of clause 14 (F) in the Presidential Orders.
Hyderabad | 17th November 2010
Bowing to mounting pressure, the state government on Tuesday convened an all-party meeting over the recruitment of sub-inspectors written test under the chairmanship of Home Minister Sabitha Indra Reddy at the Secretariat.

Talking to reporters after the meeting, the Home Minister said that the meeting unanimously took a decision on deletion of clause 14 (F) in the Presidential Orders to prevent injustice to Telangana candidates.

Reddy said that there was no loss of jobs to any candidate from Telangana region in the recruitment drive conducted by the police department.

Reacting to the cancellation of test, Sabitha said that she would take a decision only after consulting the Chief Minister on the issue.

The Home Minister said that the recruitment for filling 445 posts in VIth zone would be conducted as per notification.

A fresh notification would be issued for conducting additional 345 posts in the region, Reddy added.

The Home Minister said that she would meet OUJAC students, who were on hunger strike, to address the problem.
