PCC Chief D Srinivas Slams KCR
D Srinivas (PCC) criticized K Chandrasekhar Rao (TRS) for seeking NDA's help, instead of approaching the High Command, for the formation of a separate Telangana.

Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) President D Srinivas on Tuesday expressed incredulity at the fact that Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) President K Chandrasekhar Rao is seeking the help of the opposition to push for the creation of a separate Telangana state, rather than focusing his energies on approaching the Centre.
Srinivas told mediapersons at Gandhi Bhavan on Tuesday that KCR should have approached the Centre to push for the introduction of a separate Telangana Bill in Parliament, rather than meeting NDA leaders including L K Advani and Sushma Swaraj.
"If KCR approaches Congress President Sonia Gandhi and brings the issue properly before her, she will definitely solve the Telangana problem," Srinivas averred.
The PCC chief also expressed confidence that the Congress High Command will definitely solve the Telangana issue after the elections to the Assemblies of 5 states in May.
He said that despite discharging his duties as the PCC chief, he has not forgotten the Telangana issue. He claimed that he has been mounting pressure on the High Command over the issue, whenever opportunity came his way.
Srinivas was all praise for the Congress MLAs and MLCs who have been working earnestly towards the formation of a separate Telangana.
He said that the Congress MLAs and MLCs were shouldering dual responsibilities i.e. working for the Telangana formation and carrying out their responsibilities as part of the government.
"The elected representatives are doing justice to their constitutionally elected posts by attending the House to pass the budget and to redress the people's problems," he pointed out.
Reacting to the questions on Secunderabad MLA Jayasudha Kapoor refusing to obey the whip issued in connection with the MLC elections, the PCC chief stated, "I have no information of her comments."
