Police Nab Gang Involved In Several Dacoities
The Cyberabad police today arrested a gang of nine involved in a string of robberies and property-related offences in the Cyberabad area.

The Cyberabad police today arrested nine dacoits involved in a string of robberies and property-related offences in the Cyberabad area.
Stolen goods worth Rs 55 lakh, an SUV vehicle and several firearms have been recovered from them so far.
The accused, identified as Pradeep Kushwaha, Kuldeep, Madhav Singh, Dharmender Singh, Nihal Singh, Shailendra Singh, Sanjay, Dharmendra Kumar and Satybhan Singh, are all from the National Capital Region.
Pradeep Kushwaha was identified as the kingpin of the operations.
A police press release revealed that the gang members would carry out the robberies after first scouting out potential target area.
"They would pretend to be labourers seeking employment and conducting recces of construction sites in RC Puram, Shankarpally and Dundigal during the day. Then they would return at night to the chosen site with weapons, including a pistol, sticks and ropes, and break into the targeted sites by jumping the compound wall. If any security guards saw them and tried to stop them, the accused would subdue the former by threatening them with the firearm, and would then proceed to steal electrical materials and other valuables from the site. They also robbed homes located in the residential areas of RC Puram, Narsingi and Shankarpally," the release stated.
Cyberabad police commissioner V C Sajjanar said that suspects would then sell the stolen materials, including large amounts of copper and electrical goods, at electrical shops or to scrap dealers nearby, and would then split the money from the sales.
For the land-related offences of the gang, the police also made two more arrests - receivers identified as as Manish Kumar and Govula Vijay Kumar.
The gang was reportedly involved in five different crimes, including three dacoities.
