CPI national leader K Narayana urged people to support the Left's Bharath bandh on November 28, which is being organised to protest the Centre's demonetisation of the 500 and 1,000 rupee bills.
Speaking to the media, the Communist Party leader further alleged that the BJP leaders were themselves corrupt, and this could be proven if their bank statements dated post September were to be probed.
Narayana also alleged that the Prime Minister's move to demonetize didn't help unveil the unaccountable wealth of corporate tycoons including the Ambanis and Adanis. Had the PM taken the step, he would have been dethroned from his post.
He demanded that the Centre deposit Rs. 1 lakh into the bank accounts of each farmer in the country as they suffered a lot after the demonetisation.
The CPI leader dared Modi, Union Minister M Venkaiah Naidu and BJP chief Amith Shah to be without money and food for 50 days to know the pain of the general public that is bearing the brunt.
