Goshamahal BJP MLA Raja Singh Loth has urged the Osmania University authorities not to allow the beef festival proposed to be organized by the students of the university on December 10.
On Monday, Raja Singh went to the university and urged the authorities not to give permission for the festival. He said that the festival would hurt the peaceful atmosphere of the university.
On the other hand, the university students have lodged a complaint with the Osmania University Police Station stating that Singh was trying to obstruct the beef festival to be held in the university. They also referred to the posters showing Singh brandishing a sword.
They made it clear that they would organize the festival at any cost, and alleged that the BJP government was trying to control the food habits of the people.
The Osmania University students have been organizing beef festival for the last few years. This year the students were contemplating organising the festival as a protest program against the activities going on against the beef across the nation.
