The still-obscure road to Telangana seems to be riddled with ill-kept deadlines, meetings with no solutions, protests, meetings, and yet more meetings.
Congress, having imposed yet another deadline for itself to resolve the issue, i.e., 28 January, is conduncting yet another general-body meeting at Sonia Gandhi's residence in New Delhi today. What's new is that this meeting could be attended by Gandhi-family scion Rahul Gandhi who is expected to return to the national capital today.
Rahul, who is said to have been vocally supportive of smaller states as being better for administration, is expected to bring progress to the decision-making procedure on Telangana. Telangana Congress leaders have voiced their hope that Rahul Gandhi will help make Telangana a reality.
The Congress high command has annouced its intention of concluding the disupte as soon as possible, keeping in mind the betterment of not only Andhra Pradesh, but also the whole nation.
They claim to be ready for the consequences of their decision, whatever it may be.
