Senior Congress leader V Hanumantha Rao asked the TRS government how it would explain the state's being ranked second in India in corruption by the Centre for Media Studies (CMS).
The CMS survey revealed that 73% corruption existed in Telangana.
VHR demanded that the state government order a CBI inquiry into the corruption taking place in the state - how much and where it was taking place - given the magnitude of corruption.
Recalling KCR's exhortion to the people to beat any official asking for bribes with chappals, VHR said that all the chappals in the state would not be enough if corrupt people were indeed to be beaten with chappals.
Also ridiculing IT Minister K T Rama Rao describing Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao as a great Hindu, VHR said that KTR remembered secularism only when he needed Muslim votes. He asked the MIM to review its relations with the TRS which was adopting double standards on secularism.
