Stating that he had no interest in the marks given to the MLAs by Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao, Telangana Congress Legislature Party leader K Jana Reddy said that he had never conducted surveys in his entire political career, and had never even thought of them.
Chatting with mediapersons after the adjournment of the house to Saturday, Reddy said that the people's verdict was final in politics.
"I have never depended on surveys. Is it correct to conduct surveys using money from the public exchequer? Such surveys too are a part of the TRS government's wasteful expenditure," he opined.
Finding fault with the media, too, Reddy said that it was not analyzing the news properly any more. He said that the media had been publishing reports against him in ahead of every election saying that he would face defeat.
"I believe in the people. The media has published news ahead of seven elections stating that I would lose them, and the results are there for everyone to see," he said.
Reddy exuded confidence that the Congress would come back to power in 2019. Talking about his own prospects of becoming the Chief Minister, he said, "I never said that I am the only candidate for Chief Minister. Several variables will determine who becomes the Chief Minister."
