UPA Conspiring With Oppn.: Harsha
Congress MP Harsha Kumar accuses the UPA government of conspiring with the opposition parties to stop the No Trust Motion against AP's proposed bifurcation.
Congress MP Harsha Kumar on Sunday accused the Congress-led UPA government of conspiring with the opposition parties to stop the No Trust Motion moved by six MPs in protest against the proposed bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh.
Participating in a "Meet The Press" program organised by the AP Journalists Forum, Harsha Kumar said that he had supported Telangana in 2004. However, he said that the support was conditional, and that he wanted the Centre to first resolve issues like the status of Hyderabad, and the distribution of water and other resources. However, the Congress High Command took a hasty decision while doing injustice to the Seemandhra region, he opined.
Harsha Kumar said that Congress MPs from the Seemandhra region had revolted against the party for the people of the Seemandhra region. However, he said that the ruling party had conspired with the opposition to stall the No Confidence Motion. (INN)
