Two More Congress Leaders Meet Y S Jagan

In a major setback to the Congress in the Telangana region, senior Adilabad Congress leader Indrakaran Reddy and former MLA Koneru Konappa today met Y S Jaganmohan Reddy in Chanchalguda jail, clearly indicating that they would join the YSR Congress.

A leader with a huge following, Indrakaran Reddy was elected to the Parliament and the Assembly, and is considered a major force to reckon with. He told the media that he would join YSRCP soon.

"YSR has given us a good fillip, but the present trend has changed, and the Congress leadership is trying to downplay local leaders. Hurt by the treatment being meted out, we decided to quit the Congress," he said.

"We will discuss the prospects with our supporters and well-wishers, and take a call on joining YSR Congress party," he said. (INN)
