Multiple top Congress leaders slammed Telangana IT minister K T Rama Rao for calling Congress leaders "luchagallu".

Speaking to the media at the Assembly Media Hall on Thursday, CLP leader K Jana Reddy warned Rao that if he did not change his speaking style the people would teach him a fitting lesson.

Reddy also asked CM KCR to advise his ministers on how to speak.

The CLP leader also demanded that KCR continue in his position till the completion of his tenure to fulfill the assurances made by him instead of going in for early elections. What danger was the TRS government in that it was going in for early elections instead of staying for its full term of five years, he sought to know.

Reddy also demanded that KCR implement the High Court directions in regard to the expulsion from the Assembly of Congress MLAs Komatireddy Venkat Reddy and S A Sampath Kumar. He said that the High Court had served notices to the Speaker and to the Assembly and Law secretaries as the government had failed to implement the High Court's verdict, and yet KCR was staying adamant on the issue.

TPCC working president Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka too pulled up KTR over the luchagallu remark, and sought to know whether it was giving statehood to Telangana that made the Congress leaders luchagallu, or constructing projects or giving interest-free loans to women or constructing the Indiramma houses.

Bhatti said that the Congress leaders thought that KTR had some manners as he had pursued education in English medium schools and had worked in the USA. "However it does not appear like KCR is even civilized," he said.

Former MP Ponnam Prabhakar alleged that K T Rama Rao had cleaned "chippalu" in the US in the past, but was criticising the Congress leaders now just because he was in power. He alleged that it was the TRS leaders who were "loafers" and "luchagallu" for dividing Karimnagar, and also asked KTR not to forget that his father and Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao's political career had started with the Congress.

Meanwhile, supporting KTR's remarks, the TRS lambasted the Congress for its corruption charges against the government and KCR. Firebrand MP Balka Suman said that KTR's comments against the Congress leaders were right as they had swindled money and ignored welfare and development but were now taking the moral highground.
